What to bring on the trek
A FREE Kit / Duffel Bag is provided upon arrival at Kathmandu to pack your necessary clothing and trekking accessories for the trip. We suggest that the trekkers should bring the following items or trekking gears for their personal use.
- Sleeping Bag & matress
- Good pair of trekking boots
- Runners or sand shoes
- Down Jacket
- Windproof/waterproof jacket
- Thermal underwear and vest
- trekking pants
- T-Shirts
- Gloves
- Scarf's
- Woolen Beni
- Sun Hat
- Sun Glass
- Sun screen
- Torch/Head Lamp
- Personal medical kit
- At least 6 pairs of woolen socks to be used during the trek
- 4 pairs of normal socks
- Rucksack as Day pack
- Plastic garbage bags to keep things dry
- Stamina or Rehydration powder
- Trekking Poles
- Cosmetics
- Toiletries for the trip: Shaving Kits for men, Tissue Paper, Note: Apart from this we will also provide toilet rolls on the trek while camping
- For the Day Pack, necessary things to carry are: Camera, Water Bottle, Reading Materials Towel and Toiletries, Warm & Rain gear. Note: Porters will carry other trekking accessories.
Weight Limit:
Each person is restricted to a 15kg baggage while on the trekking, which includes your sleeping bags, so pack wisely. If you really need to bring more than 15kg you are responsible for any over weight charges (currently US$ 1 per kg) on Domestic along with portage staff.
Storage of extra luggage while trekking
Your travel and street clothes will be left behind in Kathmandu. Hotel Shanker will store your extra luggage for you in a safe claim check area.
